On 5/30/2018 at 9:59 pm – A Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth Street. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Dunellen, brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after posting bail.
On 5/27/2018 at 6:11 pm – A Piscataway resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Avenue. She was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Westfield, brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.
On 5/26/2018 at 6:00 pm – Police received a walk-in report of theft. The victim stated that they had lost their wallet earlier in the day. The wallet was since returned but was now missing the cash that had been inside. This case remains open.
On 5/26/2018 at 2:03 am – A Bridgewater resident was arrested for contempt of court after police response to South Madison Avenue for the report of a female attempting to solicit rides from passing vehicles. She was found to have warrants out of Piscataway and Newark as well as a no-bail full extradition warrant out of the Miami-Dade Police Department in Florida. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail on her warrants.
On 5/26/2018 at 12:12 am – A North Plainfield resident was arrested for theft (two counts) and possession of a hypodermic needle following police response to a Bound Brook Road business for the report of a stolen laptop and tablet. After he was located nearby attempting to sell the items, he was then transported to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing. Based on an incident at the headquarters, he was additionally charged with aggravated assault on a police officer. He was then released with a court date and transported for a medical evaluation.
On 5/25/2018 at 1:24 pm – Police received a walk-in report of theft of a cell phone. Later investigation revealed that the phone was not stolen, but lost. A short while later, the phone was returned.
On 5/24/2018 at 8:30 am – Police responded to the Dunellen Police Headquarters Parking Lot for the report of four individuals fighting. It was determined to be a road rage incident that turned physical. Parties were separated and advised on the process for signing complaints with the court.
On 5/23/2018 at 12:57 pm – Police responded to a South Second Street business for the report of theft. The victim reported the theft of a tractor cab bucket seat.
On 5/23/2018 at 12:10 pm – Police responded to Third Street for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that sometime during the previous evening an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle in the driveway and removed a bag containing several credit and debit cards.
On 5/22/2018 at 9:01 pm – A Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams following a motor vehicle stop for speeding on West Fourth Street and a subsequent search of the vehicle. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court date.
On 5/22/2018 at 6:35 am – Police responded to North Washington Avenue for the report of criminal mischief. The victim reported damage to their parked vehicle.
On 5/20/2018 at 5:54 pm – Police responded to Grove Street for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported the theft of laptop taken from his vehicle sometime in the previous few days.
On 5/20/2018 at 2:00 pm – Police responded to South Washington Avenue for a reported road rage incident. A report was generated and all parties were given information on signing complaints with the court.
On 5/20/2018 at 12:10 pm – A Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. She was found to have an active warrant for her arrest out of South Plainfield. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after posting bail.
On 5/19/2018 at 1:17 am – Police responded to the report of physical altercation on Bound Brook Rd. There was no fight upon police arrival however all parties were advised on the court process for signing a complaint of simple assault.
On 5/18/2018 at 8:13 am – Police received a walk-in report of Debit Card Fraud. The victim, a Dunellen resident reported several fraudulent charges on their account.
On 5/17/2018 at 10:43 pm – A Carteret resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. She was found to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Plainfield. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after posting bail.
On 5/17/2018 at 2:30 pm – Police received a walk-in report of debit card fraud. The victim, a Dunellen resident reported several fraudulent charges on their account.
On 5/15/2018 at 6:27 pm – A South Bound Brook resident was arrested for contempt of court after responding to Dunellen Police Headquarters on a separate matter and known by officers to have active warrants out of New Brunswick and South Brunswick. He was processed and released after posting bail.
On 5/15/2018 at 3:42 pm – Two Plainfield residents were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50g and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute following a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of Station Plaza. Additionally, the woman was charged with possession of mace. The man was also found to have multiple warrants for his arrest out of Plainfield. Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit assisted in the stop. Both defendants were brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing. She was released with a pending court date and he was remanded to the Middlesex County Jail.
On 5/14/2018 at 1:15 pm – Police responded to a North Avenue business for the report of a shoplifting. This incident remains open.
On 5/13/2018 at 7:26 pm – A Middlesex resident was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer (two counts), disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and terroristic threats after police were called to the report of a male causing a disturbance in the lot of a North Avenue business. He became combative with responding officers attempting to arrest him. After he was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and transferred to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital for an evaluation, he was remanded to the Middlesex County Jail.
On 5/13/2018 at 2:28 am – A Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue for an equipment violation. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of North Brunswick. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after posting bail.
On 5/12/2018 at 10:07 pm – A North Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following investigation into a parking violation at a North Avenue business. With the assistance of Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, several items of narcotics paraphernalia were located in his vehicle. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court date.
On 5/11/2018 at 10:21 am – A man was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension following a motor vehicle accident at North and Washington Avenues. He provided investigating officers with a fictitious name to conceal the fact that he did not have a driver’s license. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court date.
On 5/10/2018 at 12:56 pm – A Dunellen resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. He was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to Plainfield Police Department on their warrant.
On 5/9/2018 at 10:9:51 pm – A Kendall Park resident was arrested for contempt of court after police were called to a residence on Grove Street. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Hopewell Township, brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters and released after receiving a new court date.
On 5/9/2018 at 3:10 am – A Piscataway resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Road. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released to a sober family member.
On 5/8/2018 at 10:41 pm – A Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a bicycle stop on North Avenue. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield, brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.
On 5/7/2018 at 4:54 pm – Police responded to Front Street for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle and stolen a laptop.
On 5/8/2018 at 4:35 pm – Police responded to Third Street for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported the loss of cash as well as multiple credit cards. This case remains open.
On 5/8/2018 at 5:15 pm – Police received a walk-in report of theft. The victim reported that she had been shopping at a North Avenue business when her cell phone had been left unattended and was subsequently stolen.
On 5/6/2018 at 3:43 pm – Police responded to Dunellen Rescue Squad for the report of a burglary and theft. It was reported that a radio had been stolen.
On 5/6/2018 at 3:29 pm – Police responded to North Avenue for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that their unlocked vehicle had been accessed and their change stolen.
On 5/6/2018 at 8:30 am – Police responded to Front Street for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed his vehicle during the overnight hours and stolen several tools. Later, all items stolen were located nearby and returned to the owner.
On 5/3/2018 at 10:52 am – A Dunellen resident was arrested for contempt of court after police observed him walking and knew that he had several warrants for his arrest. Warrants were confirmed out of South Plainfield and Green Brook. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to Green Brook Police Department on their warrant.
On 5/2/2018 at 9:18 pm – A Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop at the Plainfield border. He was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Union County. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
On 5/1/2018 at 3:13 pm – Police responded to a North Avenue business for the report of a shoplifting incident which occurred the day prior. This case remains open.
On 5/1/2018 at 1:28 pm – Police received a walk-in report of identity theft.
