On 2/28/2018 at 12:08 am – A Dunellen resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Avenue. Because she had several warrants out of South Plainfield, she was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after receiving a new court date.
On 2/25/2018 at 9:25 pm – Police responded to a Bound Brook Road business for the report of a stolen wallet. The victim reported that he had left his wallet on the table after dining and had returned to find it missing.
On 2/24/20468 at 11:45 pm – A man was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Avenue in which he was a passenger. He was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of South Brunswick. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.
On 2/23/2018 at 7:52 pm – A Lebanon resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after patrol observed his vehicle parked in the Gavornik Park field. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for arrest processing and Middlesex Police Department for the alcotest before being released to a sober family member.
On 2/22/2018 at 9:13 pm – A Hillsborough resident was arrested and charged with two counts of forgery following investigation into an incident involving a forged lease agreement that was reported on 2/21/2018. He was processed at Dunellen Police Headquarters and later released with a court date.
On 2/22/2018 at 12:06 pm – Police responded to a South Second Street business for the report of theft.
On 2/21/2018 at 3:27 pm – Police responded to a North Avenue business for the report of shoplifting. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.
On 2/20/2018 at 10:15 am – A Piscataway resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop for an equipment violation on West Fourth Street. Because he had warrants out of Piscataway and Carteret, he was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after posting bail.
On 2/17/2018 at 12:15 am – A Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on Front Street in which he was a passenger and was not wearing a seatbelt. He provided a fictitious name to conceal warrants for his arrest out of North Plainfield and South Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters and later released after posting bail.
On 2/15/2018 at 1:01 am – Police responded to Grove Street for the report of robbery. The victim reported that a man had forcibly pushed him off of his bicycle before taking it and fleeing eastbound. The incident was reported several minutes later and the victim refused medical treatment.
On 2/14/2018 at 1:44 pm – A Jackson resident was charged with burglary and theft of movable property following investigation into an incident reported on 1/9/2018. He is currently being held at the Middlesex County Jail on a separate matter.
On 2/12/2018 at 10:10 pm – A Piscataway resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue in which she was a passenger. She was discovered to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Plainfield. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after posting bail.
On 2/10/2018 at 4:42 pm – A Dunellen resident was arrested for contempt of court following investigation into a separate incident where it was revealed that he had warrants out of Middlesex, Bound Brook, and Watchung. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to Middlesex Police Department on their warrant.
On 2/9/2018 at 5:43 pm – A Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with theft by deception following investigation into an incident on 1/5/2018. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released with a court date.
On 2/8/2018 at 11:33 pm – A Plainfield resident was arrested for driving without a license following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after he was properly identified.
On 2/8/2018 at 10:52 am – Police responded to Penfield Place for the report of theft of an air conditioner unit.
On 2/6/2018 at 7:29 am – Police responded to South Madison Avenue for the report of criminal mischief. The victim reported that an unknown person had thrown a rock at their parked vehicle and damaged the rear window sometime overnight.
On 2/5/2018 at 10:06 am – Police received a walk-in report of bad checks from a resident of Third Street. The victim was directed to the court to sign complaints.
On 2/4/2018 at 7:09 pm – A Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and Lewdness as well as several borough ordinance violations after patrol responded to a South Washington Avenue business for the report of an intoxicated individual refusing to leave the store at closing. When police arrived, he lowered his pants and proceeded to urinate in the dining area. He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Somerset.
On 2/3/2018 at 11:46 pm – A Piscataway resident and a Dunellen resident were both arrested and charged with possession of over 50g of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Dunellen Avenue. Additionally, the Dunellen resident was charged with hindering apprehension for providing a fraudulent name throughout the investigation. Both were brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released pending a court appearance.
On 2/3/2018 at 1:07 am – An Iselin resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on New Market Road. Because he had warrants out of Clifton and Edison, he was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after posting bail.
On 2/2/2018 at 12:55 pm – Police responded to the Front Street for the report of identity theft. This incident remains open.
